As a representative of the YET on the Scientific Exploration Society (SES) advisory board, I would like to draw some attention to this fantastic fundraising initiative organised by Jeremy Fish, an SES trustee and Operation Raleigh alumnus.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is a popular 24-mile circular walking route in the Yorkshire Dales National Park which involves climbing the three peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough. The goal is to complete the route in under 12 hours.
All are welcome to participate in the walk and help raise £25,000 for SES which will help the Society grow grants to explorers whilst also helping finance the Raleigh Awards. These awards send disadvantaged teenagers to exciting adventure and personal development trips in Costa Rica and South Africa.
All contributions will be enormously encouraging to the organisers and participants of this challenge and can be made via JustGiving.
Thank you!
